University proposes
This would mean 250 per annum for each scholar from British Council funds and the equivalent of $700 from university funds. not be required until the financial year commencing April 1941, (?)proposed then to accept up to £1,000 to be held for cost of completion of all scholarship awards in 1941. extend over four years in the cases of engineering, art and science undergraduates, six years in the cases of medical undergraduates, and from one to two years in the cases of post-graduates. Subsequent annual grants will be similarly allocated for cost of completion of scholarship awards in each year.

The university further learns with appreciation the offer of £1,000 for Rhodes Trust post-graduate studentships and fully endorse suggestion made in your telegram No. 801. The Council would be governing body for the administration of these studentships.
